Sixteen studies were included in this meta-analysis of yoga for back pain, rheumatoid arthritis, headache/migraine and other types of pain. All studies reported positive effects of yoga for pain and disability. Even short-term interventions showed effectiveness. Yoga may be a useful supplementary approach with moderate effect sizes on both pain and associated disability.
